This summer, Local Leaf Cannabis is stepping onto one of the biggest stages in Western Canadian music. We're proud to announce that Local Leaf is the official cannabis partner of FVDED in the Park 2026 — happening July 3 and 4 at Holland Park in Surrey, BC.
For two days, tens of thousands of fans will pack the park for one of the country's premier electronic and hip-hop festivals. And for the first time, legal, regulated cannabis from a licensed BC retailer will be part of the experience — handled the right way, start to finish.
A real milestone for BC cannabis
It wasn't that long ago that the idea of a licensed cannabis retailer partnering with a major music festival would have been unthinkable. Cannabis has spent decades pushed to the margins of live music — present at every festival, but never out in the open, never regulated, never safe.
That's exactly what makes this moment matter. Partnering with an event the scale of FVDED is a sign of how far legal cannabis has come in just a few short years: from prohibition, to a corner-store curiosity, to a trusted, professionally run part of the events people love. For Local Leaf, being chosen as FVDED's cannabis partner is a milestone we don't take lightly — and a chance to show what responsible, grown-up cannabis culture actually looks like.
How it works — please read this part carefully
The whole experience runs through our Cannabis Pick Up Zone at the festival — a designated, 19+ only area. There's no cash-and-carry counter and no impulse sales. Instead, everything goes through our regulated digital menu, with age verification at collection. Here's the flow:
Head to the Cannabis Pick Up Zone and scan the QR code. This opens the FVDED festival menu on your phone.
Browse the menu and place your order before the order-by cutoff for the pickup window you want.
Your order is delivered to the Pick Up Zone at the next pickup window.
Collect it with valid government-issued photo ID. Every pickup is age-verified — no ID, no pickup, no exceptions.
Pickup windows — July 3 and July 4
Order by | Pickup time |
11:00 AM | 2:00 PM |
2:30 PM | 4:00 PM |
4:30 PM | 6:00 PM |
6:30 PM | 8:00 PM |
8:30 PM | 10:00 PM |
Order before the cutoff and your order lands at the Pick Up Zone at that window's pickup time. Miss a cutoff and you'll roll into the next window — so plan around the set times you don't want to miss.
Why we're doing it this way
Cannabis is a 19+ product in British Columbia, and a festival is a crowd that includes people under 19. Doing this responsibly isn't optional for us — it's the whole point.
By running everything through a controlled, age-restricted Pick Up Zone with photo-ID verification at collection, we make sure product only ever reaches verified adult customers. No sales to minors, no purchasing on behalf of minors, no grey areas. Every order is handled in accordance with British Columbia and Canadian cannabis regulations — that's the careful, compliant approach that earns cannabis a permanent seat at events like this one.
